Policy themes

Every control we list is tagged with one or more of these 35 themes, in 8 families, so policies from different places can be read side by side. Choose a theme to see the policies that cover it, or compare two or three policies theme by theme.

Grouped the way the four reference instruments organise their requirements: the EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689) by obligation, the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) by principle, right and duty, the NIST AI Risk Management Framework 1.0 by its Govern, Map, Measure and Manage functions, and ISO/IEC 42001:2023 by its management system clauses and Annex A controls. Each theme lists where it sits in those instruments.
