What happened
A 30-year-old male operated a YouTube channel called 'μμ°° 24μ' (Patrol 24 Hours) where he posted AI-generated videos designed to appear as police bodycam footage from responding to 112 emergency calls. Videos included fake scenarios such as 'cross-dressing woman dressing room report dispatch' and 'Chinese person rioting arrest video.' Although the channel description stated 'unrelated to actual police, AI recreation based on true stories,' individual videos lacked disclaimers about their AI origin and the creator removed watermarks indicating AI generation.
The videos were distributed across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook in short-form format, accumulating over 30 million views. Police determined the videos were created primarily using ChatGPT and Grok, with video quality improving over time.
