Six sentenced for using jailbroken AI to produce and sell obscene content
Six people, including a former game company programmer, were sentenced in China for using an AI chatbot they modified to bypass safety filters and generate obscene images and text for profit. The AI model generated over 370,000 static images and 6,000 dynamic images, with over 9,000 static and 5,000 dynamic images confirmed as obscene material, netting approximately 170,000 yuan in user charges.
What happened
Reported impact
Index analysis
Governance controls
