Motorcyclist falls into canal following Google Maps directions in Da Nang

What happened
At approximately 21:00 on 28 November 2024, a motorcyclist identified as N. was riding on Road 6 extending into Hoa Khanh Industrial Zone in Da Nang while following directions from Google Maps. The motorcyclist fell into a drainage canal with the motorcycle.
Police from Hoa Hiep Nam Ward were on patrol nearby and discovered the incident. They immediately deployed a rescue team that brought the motorcyclist to safety and recovered the motorcycle from the canal.
