AI-Generated Antisemitic Attack Ad in Florida Congressional Race

What happened

Social media personality Dan Bilzerian, running in the Republican primary for Florida's 6th Congressional District, released a two-minute campaign ad attacking incumbent Rep. Randy Fine, one of four Jewish Republicans serving in the House.

The ad used AI-generated imagery to depict Fine with devilish horns and alongside images of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, with an AI-generated woman singing about his Jewish traits and referring to him as 'Satanic' and a 'fat Jew.' The ad also featured Nazi imagery celebrating Hitler and depicted Fine being violently assaulted.

Bipartisan leaders including House Speaker Mike Johnson condemned the ad, calling it 'vile' and 'disgusting.' Johnson stated that 'Antisemitism and outward hatred of Jewish communities have no place in our politics or in America.'
